| Ok, so
we've bitten our lip and made the decision: "We need an
Internet presence." We've done the research about how to get
the space, who to pay, and we even have a domain name picked out.
Now what?
What Does it Need to Do? This is the cardinal question.
Everyone, but everyone, would love to have a really cool website
that rivals the MTV site for interactivity and neat stuff. The
key to successful use of the Internet, however, is function. The
options available for form and appearance are literally limitless,
but a form which fails to fulfill the basic function is a waste of
resources. Keep in mind that an entire segment of the economy based
solely on "really neat Internet stuff" recently got the
big flush. They were, in large part, lacking function.
